The Flashmer Spécial Lieu leader is a reference rig for fishing this highly prized pelagic species by North Sea and Atlantic boat anglers. With its multiple hooks faithfully reproducing the fry on which pollack feed, this rig guarantees consistent catches when fishing vertically or in drift.

Design optimised for pollack

The hooks are dressed with materials simulating small forage fish (sand eels, sprats, fry) that make up the staple diet of pollack and coalfish. The arrangement of the hooks on the rig reproduces the natural behaviour of a shoal of prey, triggering reflex strikes.

Fishing technique

This rig is used vertically from a boat over shallow banks and wrecks, or in drift over hunting grounds. It is equally suited to pollack and coalfish, as well as mackerel and coastal pelagic fish.
