Xorus Asturie 150
The Xorus Asturie is a reference in surface lures for sea bass fishing. With the 150mm you can select for slightly larger fish.
The aerodynamic shape (wind-tunnel tested) allows the Asturie to cast far, very, very far. It is the ideal surface lure for covering large stretches of water from the shore or from a boat. Its totally erratic action allows it to stand out when other surface lures fail.
Available in 5 sizes (90, 110, 130, 150 & 170mm) and a wide variety of colours, it can handle all fishing conditions at sea as well as in fresh water where it wreaks havoc on perch, pike and other predatory fish.

Tips from our team of enthusiasts
Colour selection
As for colour, the starting point is the environment. The clearer it is, the more natural colours you should use; the more opaque it is, the more flashy or dark shades — even black — you should use. White base colours are perfect when the cloud ceiling is low. This is a starting point that will need to be adjusted day by day.
Our sea team has a real soft spot for two colours
- Cabot: for fishing in clear water,
- Mackerel: for fishing in coloured water in low light and at night.
Our freshwater team adores these two colours
- Spring Minnow: for fishing in clear water
- Metal Ayu: for fishing in coloured water in low light.
Retrieve technique
It's very simple: keep the rod high, give short rod tip twitches and reel in. This is a lure that is fished quickly, as the goal is to work it like a fleeing prey with a totally erratic action.
If fish are following but not striking, try a low rod animation to make it dive below the surface.
If you have any questions about choosing a rod, the rigs suited to your fishing area, or the type of line (braid, monofilament, fluorocarbon) to put on your reel, do not hesitate to contact us via our website, by phone or by visiting us in person at our Ardent Pêche store.
