Description

Buster Jerk Shallow by CWC / Strike Pro

The floating version of the original Buster Jerk by CWC / Strike Pro: certainly one of the jerkbaits that has caught the most pike over the last 10 years! It rises slowly to the surface on the pause and is deadly for targeting predators when they focus on large prey. This technical yet very easy to work lure stands out for its perfect balance, realistic finish and erratic action. It is a searching lure that allows you to insist on a spot depending on the fishing position's configuration.

Key features

  • Swimming depth: 0.5–2 m
  • Swims with wider or narrower lateral darts depending on the retrieve
  • High-quality finish and varied colours
  • Triple hooks #2/0
  • Ultra robust

Tips from our team of enthusiasts

The retrieve

  • On a straight retrieve, cast and reel in and the lure will produce a nice, fairly tight "S" swimming action.
  • By jerking broadly and slowly with the rod, the lure will make wide lateral darts. Give it time to "glide" properly before animating again.
  • By giving quick short rod tip twitches or quarter-turn cranks, the lure will swim almost in place with small lateral movements.

The colour

Our team's choice:

  • For clear water: C76
  • For dirty water: 687

As for colour, as a general rule, the starting point will be the environment. The clearer it is, the more natural colours you should use; the more opaque it is, the more flashy or dark shades — even black — you should go for. This is a base that should be adjusted day by day.

If you have any questions about choosing a rod, rigs suited to your fishing area, or the type of line (monofilament, braid, fluorocarbon) to use on your reel, do not hesitate to contact us via our website, by phone, or by visiting our Ardent Pêche store directly.
