Description
The Pig Shad 23 cm by CWC
The Pig Shad 23 cm by CWC, a shad that has widely proven itself for pike fishing, but also works at sea! Inspired by the famous jerkbait "The Pig", this soft lure is a true pike magnet. It features an enticing rolling action, its head sways gently from side to side on the retrieve, while its tail moves rather slowly. It is one of the go-to soft lures that Pierre Monjarret uses for guide fishing and in competition.

Tips from our team of enthusiasts
The rig
The Pig Shad 23cm can be used in the classic way mounted on a jig head, such as the BKK Round Elite Classic Bait Keeper, a shallow rig like the CWC Pro Stinger Stainless Steel, a screw-in head like the BFT Flexhead Pike, or a Texas-rigged hook Owner BEAST Hook.
It can also be used as a trailer behind a Miuras Mouse.
The color
When it comes to color, the starting point is the environment. The clearer it is, the more natural tones you should use; the more opaque it is, the more flashy or dark shades — even black — you should reach for. This is a baseline that will need to be adjusted day by day.
Our team has a real soft spot for two colors
- 041: for fishing in clear water,
- C039: for fishing in stained water with low light and at night.
