XORUS Asturie 130 Surface Lure

Xorus Asturie 130

The Xorus Asturie is a reference in topwater lures for sea bass fishing. With the 130mm, you will target slightly larger sea bass.

The aerodynamic shape (wind tunnel-tested) allows the Asturie to cast far, very, very far. It is the ideal topwater lure for prospecting large expanses of water from the bank as well as from a boat. Its completely erratic swimming action allows it to stand out when other topwater lures fail.

Available in 5 sizes (90, 110, 130, 150 & 170mm) and a wide variety of colors, it allows you to face all fishing conditions at sea as well as in fresh water, where it wreaks havoc on perch, pike, and other predators.

Tips from our team of enthusiasts

The choice of colors

When it comes to color, the starting point is the environment. The clearer it is, the more natural tones you should use; the more opaque it is, the more flashy or dark shades — even black — you should reach for. White bases are perfect when the cloud ceiling is low. This is a baseline that will need to be adjusted day by day.

Our saltwater team has a real weak spot for two colors

• Cabot: for fishing in clear water,
• Mackerel: for fishing in stained water with low light and at night.

Our freshwater team loves these two colors

• Spring Minnow: for fishing in clear water
• Metal Ayu: for fishing in stained water with low light.

The action

It's very simple: keep the rod tip high, twitch the tip, and reel in. It is a lure that is fished quickly, as the goal is to make it move like fleeing prey with a completely erratic swimming action.

If fish are following but not taking, try a low rod tip action to make it dive just below the surface.

If you have any questions about choosing a rod, the rigs appropriate for your fishing area, or the type of line (braid, monofilament, fluorocarbon) to install on your reel, feel free to contact us through our website, by phone, or by visiting us in person at our store Ardent Pêche.
