Rigging the X Layer Curly

The X Layer Curly is ideal for Texas, drop shot or Carolina rigs, as well as on a jig head (Decoy SV-60) or as a trailer behind a chatterbait (Wild Header), spinnerbait or rubber jig. It is THE lure for cold water or when fish seem sluggish from the heat.

Color

As for color, the starting point will be the environment. The clearer it is, the more you will use natural tones; the more opaque it is, the more you will use flashy or dark shades, even going as far as black. This is a base that will need to be adjusted depending on the day.

Choose a transparent color for sunny days, and an opaque version when the light fades at the beginning and end of the day.
