CWC Pig Shad Giant 26cm soft lure

The CWC Pig Shad Giant

The CWC Pig Shad Giant in 26 cm, a shad that has proven itself time and time again for catching record pike, but that also works at sea! Inspired by the famous jerkbait "The Pig", this soft lure is a true pike magnet. It features an enticing rolling action and its head sways gently from side to side on the retrieve, while its tail moves rather slowly. It is one of the reference soft lures that Pierre Monjarret uses both in guiding and in competitions.

Tips from our team of enthusiasts

Rigging

The Pig Shad Giant can be used in the classic way mounted on a jig head, such as the BKK Round Elite Classic Bait Keeper, a shallow rig such as the CWC Pro Stinger Stainless Steel, a screw-in head such as the BFT Flexhead Pike, or a Texas hook Owner BEAST Hook.

It can also be used as a trailer behind a Miuras Mouse.

Color

As for color, the starting point will be the environment. The clearer it is, the more you'll use natural tones; the more turbid it is, the more you'll use flashy or dark shades, even going as far as black. This is a baseline that should be adjusted day by day.

Our team has two real favorite colors

• 153: for fishing in clear water,
• 041: for fishing in stained water, in low light conditions and at night.
