Description

Bass Assassin Elite Shiner 4: The must-have paddle tail swimbait for largemouth bass

The Bass Assassin Elite Shiner 4 soft lure is a paddle tail swimbait originally designed for the Alabama rig, but which has quickly established itself as one of the most versatile lures in the Bass Assassin range. Its paddle tail generates a tight, vibrating action that perfectly replicates the swim of a minnow or fry in the water column, triggering reflex strikes from largemouth bass even in tough conditions.

Designed for the Alabama rig, excellent everywhere else

The Elite Shiner was originally developed to rig on the heads of an Alabama rig: this multi-lure setup is particularly effective for imitating a school of baitfish. Its slender profile and tight action integrate perfectly into a group rig, where each lure must swim harmoniously with the others. But the Elite Shiner goes well beyond this original purpose: sunk beneath a ball jig for a bottom swim, rigged on a drop shot for a suspended presentation, or used as a trailer on a spinnerbait or buzzbait, it proves just as deadly.

Tight and irresistible swim action

The Elite Shiner's medium-sized paddle tail is the heart of its performance. At the slightest pull, it begins to vibrate and generates fast, regular oscillations that send impulses throughout the water column. This tight action is particularly effective for largemouth bass actively hunting on the surface or mid-water, but also for perch and other predators responsive to rapid stimulation.

Ultra-soft Bass Assassin quality plastisol

Like the entire Bass Assassin range, the Elite Shiner is molded from high-quality soft plastisol that amplifies the lure's natural movements and provides a natural mouthfeel, allowing fish to hold the lure slightly longer — just long enough to set the hook effectively. This durable material withstands numerous catches without tearing, ensuring impressive longevity.

Rigging versatility

The Elite Shiner 4 can be rigged on a wide variety of hooks and jig heads. Bass Assassin Swim Hook 3/0 hooks, particularly in weighted versions, are especially well-suited for a weedless swim in cluttered areas. On an Alabama rig, mount it on 1/0 to 2/0 hooks for a convincing grouped presentation.
