The Decoy WA-51 Wire Double Assist is a double assist hook (twin assist hook) specially designed for offshore jigging. Its distinctive feature is the metal wire frame integrated into the cord, reinforcing the rigidity of the assembly for precise and stable hook positioning around the metal lure.

Reinforced wire construction

Unlike classic assist hooks whose cord is entirely flexible, the WA-51 integrates a steel wire into the assist cord structure. This metal reinforcement ensures that the hooks remain positioned at a constant angle around the metal jig, even after many catches and during dynamic retrieves. This positional stability significantly improves the hookup ratio on the fastest bites.

Double hook for maximum coverage

The double (twin) configuration allows both sides of the jig to be covered with a hook, maximizing the chances of hooking a fish regardless of the angle of attack. Tuna, amberjack, sea bass, and other pelagic species sometimes attack from the side or from behind, and the double configuration ensures contact in these situations.

Jigging applications
