The Vanford stands out thanks to its CI4+ body and rotor, ensuring robustness and lightness. The MagnumLite (MGL) rotor reduces rotational inertia, offering increased reactivity. The MicroModule II and SilentDrive technologies guarantee smooth and silent rotation. The HAGANE gear and X-Ship system enhance power and durability. The X-Protect seal protects the internal components from water and impurities.
Versatile, the Vanford is suitable for various fishing techniques, in fresh water as well as in salt water. It excels in technical fishing, such as linear fishing with hard and soft lures. The quality of the materials and the smoothness of its mechanism make it perfect for fishing requiring finesse and sensitivity.
Choose a reel suited to your rod — one that will balance the rod and also allow you to cast the lures intended for the rod's power rating.
The spool diameter is a determining factor for a spinning reel. It must be in line with the size and positioning of the rod's first guide. The larger the first guide, the larger the spool diameter needs to be. The further the first guide is from the reel seat, the larger the reel needs to be.
Another important point is the retrieval ratio. A standard ratio is 75–80 cm of retrieval per handle turn. You will therefore need to choose your reel's ratio according to the fishing techniques you wish to use.
If you have any questions about choosing a rod, the rigs appropriate for your fishing area or the type of line (braid, nylon, fluorocarbon) to fit on your reel, do not hesitate to contact us via our website, by phone or by visiting us in person at our Ardent Pêche store.
