Decoy DJ-84 Super Light Assist Twin: the double finesse assist for light jigs
The Decoy DJ-84 Super Light Assist Twin is the double (twin) version of the DJ-74 Super Light, offering two hooks on a shared cord for maximum coverage of both sides of the jig with minimal weight. It is the reference assist hook for light jigging and slow pitch jigging in shallow water.
Twin configuration: coverage of both flanks
The Twin configuration of the DJ-84 places two hooks on either side of the jig, covering both flanks simultaneously. Fish that strike from the side, regardless of direction, will always encounter a hook ready to set. This bidirectional coverage is particularly effective for slow pitch jigging, where long pauses give fish time to inspect the jig before striking.
Super Light to preserve the jig's swimming action
The reduced weight of the hooks and cord preserves the natural action of the light jig. For jigs of 10 to 40g, any parasitic weight from the assist can alter the swimming action during animations and free falls. The DJ-84 Super Light maintains the jig's balance intact while adding double coverage.
