GUNKI Bull frog 130 soft lure, an amphibious imitation built for pike
The GUNKI Bull frog 130 soft lure was developed to seduce the most wary predators, in particular pike lying in weed beds, lily pads or hard-to-reach areas. Its compact profile, lively swimming action and strong capacity to displace water make it a weapon of choice for triggering reflex strikes.
Very versatile, it can be used on a classic jig head for open-water fishing, rigged on a Texas hook to move cleanly through cluttered environments, or used as a trailer to increase the attractiveness of a rig. Its stable behaviour and distinctive vibration signature make it effective in many configurations.
A design conceived to maximise attractiveness
A voluminous and mobile body
The Bull Frog's massive body displaces a significant volume of water on the retrieve. This underwater presence helps predators easily locate the lure, even in areas heavily laden with vegetation or when visibility is reduced.
Ultra-reactive appendages
The two curly tails spring into action at the slightest stimulus. They generate continuous vibrations while maintaining good overall stability of the lure. This constant movement creates a very enticing visual and vibratory effect, particularly effective on ambushing pike.
A reinforced finish to stand out
The oversized eyes enhance the overall realism, while a few strands of tinsel reinforce its visual impact. In covered areas, this finish allows the lure to stand out clearly and attract the attention of predatory fish on the hunt.
A lure perfectly suited to fishing in cluttered environments
Optimised for Texas rigging
The Bull Frog's belly is ribbed to encourage the lure to compress during a strike. This feature is particularly useful with a Texas rig, as it facilitates the full release of the hook at the moment of the hook set. The result is a better success rate on bites.
A texture that prolongs the hold in the mouth
The grooved, softer material helps extend the time during which the predator holds the lure in its mouth. This gives the angler a more comfortable reaction window to set the hook precisely and effectively.
A real asset for weightless fishing
When used weightless, the belly can be generously filled with attractant. This trick improves the lure's stability, but also allows you to adjust its density to influence its sink rate. This is a real advantage for refining the presentation according to conditions and fish behaviour.
An effective solution for demanding pike anglers
The GUNKI Bull frog 130 soft lure is aimed at anglers looking for a soft lure capable of working where other rigs struggle to reach. Its seductive power, stability and design conceived for strikes in cluttered environments make it a serious reference for targeting pike in complex spots.
