The Berkley Sick Curl 8cm completes the Sick range with a curl tail profile that produces a spiralling and particularly enticing swimming action, different from the other members of the Sick family. Like all lures in the range, it has been designed to cover specific situations where its counterparts are less effective.
The curled tail of the Sick Curl creates a gentle but visible rotation around the body axis during the retrieve, imitating the movement of an aquatic worm, a larva or an injured baitfish. Unlike the paddletail which produces vibrations, the curl tail generates a very subtle and natural visual action, particularly effective in clear water and under high fishing pressure conditions. During the fall, the tail animates naturally without any pull, producing a very attractive spiralling descent.
The 8cm format of the Sick Curl adapts to many techniques: in drop shot for a suspended presentation at a precise depth, in a weedless Texas rig in cluttered areas, on a light jig head (3-10g) for finesse swimming, or on an unweighted offset hook for an ultra-natural free-swimming action on the surface or mid-water.
