Description

Penn Clash II spinning reel range

Designed for sea fishing and extreme conditions, these reels will never let you down. The Penn Clash II reels stand out for their metal body and side plates, ensuring uncompromising strength. The CNC Gear™ technology guarantees smooth rotation and increased durability. The HT-100™ carbon drag system delivers consistent braking power, even under heavy pressure. Sensitive components are protected by hydrophobic bearings and the Clutch Armor system, ensuring optimal resistance to marine conditions. The Leveline® slow oscillation system allows precise line lay, improving casting distance and accuracy. Perfect for sea lure fishing, these reels are suited to techniques such as straight retrieve, light jigging, or trolling. Their design makes them ideal for targeting marine species such as sea bass, pollack, or meagre, delivering performance and reliability on every outing.

Which spinning reel should you choose?

Rod balance

Choose a reel suited to your rod — one that will balance the rod, but also allow you to cast the lures intended for the rod's power rating.

The gear ratio

Another important point is the gear ratio. A standard ratio is 75–80 cm of retrieve per crank of the handle. You should therefore choose your reel's ratio based on the fishing techniques you wish to use.

If you have any questions about choosing a rod, the rigs suited to your fishing area, or the type of line (braid, nylon, fluorocarbon) to put on your reel, don't hesitate to contact us via our website, by phone, or by visiting us in person at our Ardent Pêche store.
