Choose a tube slightly thicker than your lure, cut a 5 mm section of tube, place this ring around the lure then heat it with a lighter — it will shrink and bond with the lure. All you have to do then is hook your hook directly into this ring to have a rig that has greatly benefited in terms of lifespan.
