Two-speed Quick-Shift II system

The PENN International VIS is equipped with the two-speed Quick-Shift II system. This design allows you to quickly switch from a fast gear ratio to efficiently retrieve line, to a slower ratio to gain power during the most intense phases of the fight.

This versatility is a major asset in big game fishing. It allows you to adapt to the fish's behaviour, maintain control during runs and retrieve efficiently when the pressure eases.

Powerful and progressive Dura-Drag brake

The Dura-Drag lever drag offers high, smooth and progressive braking power. This system is designed to withstand heavy tension while maintaining great fluidity, in order to better manage long and demanding fights.

The Versa-Strike Adjustable Strike Stop allows you to precisely adjust the strike drag position, to adapt the reel to the line used, the technique practised and the power of the fish targeted.

Robust construction for saltwater

The machined and anodised body and sideplates provide excellent resistance to corrosion and mechanical stress. The stainless steel main gear and pinion enhance the reel's durability and ensure reliable transmission under heavy load.

The double dog anti-reverse secures the mechanism during powerful fights, while the line capacity indicator rings allow you to quickly visualise the remaining reserve on the spool.

A range suited to extreme fishing

Available in sizes 16, 70 and 130, the PENN International VIS covers several levels of big game fishing. Size 16 is suited to powerful but more manageable fishing situations, while sizes 70 and 130 meet the needs of very heavy fishing, with a large line capacity and high drag power.

The Silver and Gold versions allow you to choose a finish according to the angler's preferences, while maintaining the same level of technical excellence.
