The Illex Dexter Shad 110 is a shad-type soft lure. It was designed to be used as a "cranking shad", i.e. on a straight retrieve. It is also perfect as a trailer behind a bladed jig (chatterbait) when predators want a substantial mouthful. It features a powerful rolling action and a tonic rubber with an integrated Nitro Booster crustacean attractant.
As for colour, the starting point will be the environment. The clearer it is, the more natural tones you will use; the more opaque it is, the more flashy or dark shades — even black — you will use. This is a base that will need to be adjusted from day to day.
