Which spinning reel to choose?
Rod balance
Choose a reel suited to your rod, meaning a reel that will balance the rod, but also allow you to cast the lures intended for the rod's power rating.
The gear ratio
Another important point is the gear ratio. A standard ratio delivers 75-80cm of line per handle turn. You will therefore need to choose your reel's ratio based on the fishing techniques you wish to use.
If you have any questions about choosing a rod, the rigs suited to your fishing area, or the type of line (braid, nylon, fluorocarbon) to put on your reel, do not hesitate to contact us via our website, by phone, or by visiting us in person at our Ardent Pêche store.
