Which spinning rod should you choose?

Lure weight

To choose the right rod, you must first take into account the weight of the lures you will be casting. The maximum weight must not exceed the intended usage range of the rod.

Rod length

Then, as far as length is concerned, a boat rod will tend to be shorter (up to around 2.30 m) to stay within the sonar beam, but also because, unlike a rod for fishing far from the bank which will tend to be longer (from 2.40–2.50 m), you will have less need to navigate around obstacles, cast into the wind, etc.
