Dragonbait Trout 6'7 Contact Special, a precise spinning rod for trout lure fishing
A rod designed for small to medium rivers
The Dragonbait Trout 6'7 Contact Special is aimed at trout anglers looking for a manoeuvrable, precise rod perfectly suited to small and medium rivers. Its length allows for effective coverage of the majority of French waterways, while maintaining excellent control over casts and lure presentations.
Complementing the Dragonbait Trout D-Contact, this shorter version is particularly well-suited for minnow fishing, especially with the D-Contact 50, 63 and 72. It offers excellent lure control, whether drifting, working a dry presentation or fishing current seams.
A balance between technology and tradition
The Dragonbait Trout series reflects the spirit of fine trout fishing, where technical performance must remain paired with the pleasure of using a beautiful object. This rod combines finesse, lightness and efficiency, with a refined finish that showcases quality natural materials.
The reel seat and butt are made of solid Maple burl, a natural maple knot that makes each piece unique. In addition to its aesthetics, the butt helps lower the balance point of the rod, allowing for a shorter handle and easier wrist movements.
Comfort, finesse and quality assembly
AAA cork provides a high level of comfort, good durability and an elegant finish. Single-foot guides help reduce weight and improve overall finesse, making the rod more pleasant to use during long sessions.
The wrappings are made with a very fine and resistant silk thread, which limits the use of epoxy varnish. The assembly thus gains in smoothness, lightness and responsiveness — essential qualities for precisely animating lures and detecting subtle takes.
A rod ideal for demanding anglers
The Dragonbait Trout 6'7 Contact Special will suit anglers who want a technical, lightweight and aesthetically pleasing rod for precise trout lure fishing. Its versatile format allows for effective river fishing, with an excellent feel in hand and a true sense of control.
