The PENN Tidal Long Cast is designed for surfcasting anglers looking for a reel capable of casting their rigs far, with precision and consistency. Its Long Cast design promotes powerful casts while maintaining excellent line release smoothness.

Rocket Spool and Slow Leveline technology

The Rocket Spool spool is specially designed to facilitate long-distance casts. Its shape optimizes line release and limits friction, making repeated casts more efficient.

Slow Leveline technology ensures a very consistent line lay, with up to 50 coils per spool oscillation. This precise winding improves casting smoothness and allows for clean retrieval, even after hard casts over long distances.

HT-100 sealed drag and reliable mechanics

The PENN Tidal Long Cast is equipped with a sealed front drag with HT-100 carbon washers. This system effectively protects the drag against water, sand, and impurities, while delivering smooth and progressive power during fights.

Its rigid and lightweight XRC frame ensures good mechanical stability, while the premium metal main gear enhances durability. The sealed bearings guarantee smooth and reliable rotation, even in demanding saline environments.

Quick Drag and great versatility in surfcasting

The Quick Drag system allows the drag to be adjusted quickly according to fishing conditions. This responsiveness is particularly useful for switching from a free setting to a tighter drag during a run or a fight.

The reel comes with two sets of capacity reducers, handy for adapting spool fill to the line diameter used. Available in sizes 7000 and 8000, it allows you to choose between a lighter, faster model or a version offering greater capacity.
