The Smith Amuro 300 is a sea spinning rod developed for heavy offshore fishing. It is aimed at anglers looking for a rod capable of casting large lures while retaining the power needed to fight particularly powerful fish.
Its primary target species is bluefin tuna, with a design built to tackle fish that can reach 150 kg. This rod offers a high level of control during the fight, provided it is used with appropriate equipment and good blank angle management.
Optimal power between 0 and 45° during the fight
The Smith Amuro 300 delivers its full power when the blank works at an angle between 0 and 45°. This operating range allows the rod's power reserve to be fully exploited, particularly during the bracing and sustained pressure phases.
It is fitted with an aluminium gimbal and must be used with a harness featuring an articulated butt cup. This configuration is essential for fishing effectively and safely with a rod of this power, especially during long and demanding fights.

The blank construction is based on a new composite material combining 30T and 40T carbon, kevlar and titanium. This combination significantly improves strength while allowing the blank diameter to be reduced.
