The Dragonbait Trout LX 7'4 is derived from a luxury version of the Trout range, developed to offer greater balance, lightness, and action speed. Its matte blank provides more discretion during fishing, a valuable asset for finesse approaches in rivers, streams, or stretches where trout are wary.
This rod was designed for anglers seeking a precise, sensitive, and comfortable tool, capable of effectively animating light lures while retaining true control during the fight.
An ideal rod for soft lures and minnow plugs
Developed under the influence of Guillaume Vernet and Christophe Pousthomis, the Dragonbait Trout LX 7'4 perfectly meets the needs of modern trout soft lure fishing. It is particularly well suited to compact shads and small imitations, while remaining effective with minnow plugs.
Its lightness and balance make wrist animations easier, while its sensitivity allows for better perception of lure behavior, contacts, and subtle bites.
A redesigned handle for comfort and balance
The Trout LX series features a high-end handle crafted from unique pieces of solid Maple burl, a maple knot prized for its aesthetics and quality. The butt has been reworked to lower the balance point, allowing for a shorter and more maneuverable handle.
AAA cork enhances comfort, durability, and grip quality, for a rod that is pleasant to use during active and repetitive fishing sessions.
A refined build for greater finesse
The first three guides are fitted with Fuji Titanium to reduce weight, improve line flow, and optimize blank responsiveness. Single-foot or double-foot guides, depending on the model, are selected to preserve fineness and lightness.
The thread wraps, made with fine, strong silk, require less epoxy coating. The result is a smoother, lighter build that is better integrated with the rod's action.
