Description

The Gunki Drag Spin 130 S

The Drag Spin 130 S by Gunki: a multifunctional spintail-type hard lure for fishing in as little as 10cm of water or as deep as 10m. If you use the front attachment point, the Drag Spin will swim in just 10cm of water — perfect for weed beds or shallow margins. By using the attachment point on top, the hard lure will tend to hold its swimming depth better, and if you add an additional weight to the front attachment point, you can use it on the pull like a paddle-tail shad.

Key features

Tips from our team of enthusiasts

Presentation

For straight retrieval, attach it at the front attachment point, cast, let it sink to the desired depth, and simply reel in — the blade will do the rest. If you want the lure to hold its swimming depth without rising, switch to the attachment point on the top.

On the pull, to use it like a paddle-tail shad, attach it at the top attachment point and add a clip weight to the front attachment point (10 to 40g). Let it sink until it touches the bottom, make a long rod sweep to lift the lure off the bottom, reel in the slack line, and let it sink again to regain bottom contact.

Color

As for color, the starting point will be the conditions. The clearer the water, the more natural colors you should use; the more opaque it is, the more flashy colors or dark shades, even black, you should use. This is a base that will need to be adjusted day by day.

Our team's favorites:

  • In clear water: Neo Ayu
  • In murky water: Mat Fire Tiger

If you have any questions about choosing a rod, rigs suited to your fishing area, or the type of line (monofilament, braid, fluorocarbon) to use on your reel, do not hesitate to contact us via our website, by phone, or by visiting our Ardent Pêche shop directly.
