The Ultegra XTE benefits from Super Slow 5 oscillation, a technology that enables particularly even line lay on the spool. This precise distribution reduces friction during casting and improves long-distance potential.

Rigid Cast reduces spool deformation at the moment of casting, while Parallel Body optimises the line exit angle towards the first ring. Combined with the AR-C aluminium spool, this design promotes a smooth, clean and efficient line release.

Smoothness, power and durability

Beneath its lightweight and rigid CI4+ body, the Shimano Ultegra XTE incorporates several advanced technologies designed to improve power and smoothness of operation. The HAGANE Gear and X-SHIP systems ensure solid and durable transmission, even when the reel is put under heavy load.

The Shimano Ultegra XTE range includes a 14000 XTE version, ideal for long-distance carp fishing, as well as a Spod XTE version, designed for precise baiting at distance.

The 14000 XTE model offers a large line capacity and controlled retrieve, while the Spod XTE stands out with a very fast retrieve, particularly well suited to repeated casting and intensive baiting sessions.
