The Shimano SLX BFS is designed for anglers who want to fish in casting with very light lures. Part of the SLX range, it carries Shimano's DNA of reliability and performance while adapting it to finesse, precise and technical fishing.

This model is particularly suited to trout, perch and wary predator anglers, when presentation discretion and casting precision make all the difference.

Precise casts with small lures

The BFS, Bait Finesse System, allows ultra-light lures to be used effectively while retaining the advantages of a casting setup. The reel offers smooth line release with low resistance, to facilitate short to medium distance casts with maximum control.

The FTB, Finesse Tune Braking, system acts directly on the spool through magnets placed in the side plate. This system allows fine adjustment of the braking without adding weight to the spool with moving parts, which promotes responsiveness and smoothness during the cast.

A smooth and robust Shimano design

The HAGANE aluminium body provides rigidity and stability to the whole unit. This construction allows better power transmission while maintaining an excellent feel in the hand.

The X-SHIP and Super Free Spool technologies contribute to smoothness of rotation, retrieval power and overall comfort. The S3D spool improves rotational balance, for more stable and consistent behaviour during casts.

A progressive drag for hard-fighting fish

The Cross Carbon drag offers good progressivity during the fight, even with light lines. It allows you to keep control over lively fish without putting undue stress on the rig.

The Exciting Drag Sound system adds a useful auditory feedback during runs, which enhances the experience and makes it easier to track the fish's reactions during the fight.
