The Daiwa Saltiga 25 represents the most advanced evolution of the Saltiga range. Developed for hard-fighting fishing and extreme battles, this spinning reel has been designed without compromise to deliver power, rigidity and durability to anglers seeking equipment capable of handling the largest fish.

Thanks to the POWERDRIVE DESIGN, this generation pushes the limits of retrieval under heavy load. Every component of the reel has been engineered to optimise power transfer, minimise energy loss and ensure constant smoothness, even when pressure reaches its peak.

POWERDRIVE DESIGN, power at the heart of the reel

The Saltiga 25 stands out through a design entirely oriented towards power. The POWERDRIVE ENGINE brings together the Oversized Power Digigear and Roller Power Oscillation technologies to enhance driving power, mechanical stability and smoothness of operation.

The Oversized Power Digigear, made from G1 duralumin, features a larger diameter and a reinforced profile. Combined with the Monocoque aluminium frame, it delivers remarkable rigidity and a more direct power transmission during retrieval.

Smooth retrieval even under heavy pressure

The Roller Power Oscillation technology replaces the traditional cam system with a ball-bearing-mounted mechanism. This design reduces friction, improves oscillation efficiency and ensures a smooth, even retrieve even during the most intense fights.

The POWERDRIVE ROTOR further reinforces this sense of power. Its aluminium structure, more rigid and better balanced, improves reel stability and contributes to a firmer, more precise and more durable retrieve.

A redesigned bail for braided line fishing

The Crank Power Bail improves line guidance and tension management as the line leaves the bail. This development is particularly beneficial for jigging, live bait fishing and all techniques where consistent tension is essential.

The Tough Line Roller System optimises the performance of the line roller, with a wider profile and improved support. It reduces friction with braided line and promotes smoother line passage, even during prolonged fights.

A drag designed for very large fish

The Daiwa Saltiga 25 features a new-generation ATD drag, with the DRD system on sizes 18000 to 30000. This system improves the progressiveness, consistency and resistance of the drag during powerful runs.

Designed for large specimens, the DRD drag reduces friction between the discs and maintains a stable setting throughout the fight. It provides invaluable control when the fish applies continuous pressure.

A complete range for extreme fishing

Available from size 8000 to size 30000, the Saltiga 25 covers a wide range of heavy saltwater fishing styles, from heavy jigging to targeting tuna, GT trevally, amberjack, large pelagics and other powerful predators.

The 30000 size, introduced on this generation, represents the largest size ever designed by Daiwa in the Saltiga range. It is aimed at anglers seeking maximum line capacity and braking power suited to the most demanding battles.
