Description
Shimano Cardiff Exlead Competition rod
An absolute reference for competition trout fishing
Developed by a team of world champion competitors, the Cardiff Exlead Competition embodies the highest level of excellence for tournament trout fishing. Each model is designed to meet a specific technique, with one clear objective: to offer maximum sensitivity, precision and control.
This top-of-the-range series is aimed at expert anglers who seek optimal feel and perfect reading of lure animations, subtle bites and changes in lure behavior.
Advanced carbon technologies
The ultra-lightweight blanks benefit from a combination of Spiral X Core and Nanopitch technologies. This advanced construction reduces torsion during casting and retrieval phases, significantly improving precision and stability.
The result: smooth action, increased control and greater efficiency during fights, even with wary fish.
The 60SULS model features a solid Taftec Infinity tip, specially designed to feel and animate the lightest micro spoons with finesse.
Maximum sensitivity and premium components
The Cardiff Exlead Competition is equipped with carefully selected premium components to optimize performance:
- Guide array combining Shimano X-Guide titanium and Fuji SiC Titanium type K
- Exclusive Shimano Ci4+ reel seat, lightweight and ergonomic
- Carbon Monocoque handle for direct and precise feedback
Every detail is aimed at maximizing vibration transmission and ensuring perfect balance.
Technical versatility in competition
The range covers all the techniques encountered in trout competition:
- Micro spoon fishing
- Jerkbait animation
- Surface fishing
- Use of crankbaits
- Slow fishing near the bottom
Each rod is specifically developed for a given application, lure type and precise competition context, allowing every strategy to be optimized.
