Description
A versatile and accessible reel
The Sahara RD is positioned as a reliable and elegant reel, designed to cover a wide range of freshwater techniques. It is equally suited to float fishing, feeder fishing or light lure fishing, offering great adaptability for anglers looking for a simple and effective model.
Its refined design reflects Shimano's quality, while its intuitive handling makes it easy to use, whether you are a beginner or a regular angler.
Appreciable smoothness for everyday use
From the very first uses, the Sahara RD stands out for its smooth and regular rotation. This ease of operation improves comfort and reduces fatigue, particularly during extended sessions.
Available in single or double handle version, it allows the grip to be adapted to the angler's preferences.
Precise control thanks to the Fightin' Drag
The Fightin' Drag system, a Shimano exclusive, provides a notable advantage during fights. It allows the drag power to be adjusted quickly and precisely, directly in action, to better manage tension variations.
The multi-disc rear drag ensures consistent progressiveness, ideal for securing fights and avoiding hook pulls.
Optimised line management
The Sahara RD is equipped with a cold-forged aluminium spool with AR-C system, promoting better line release and cleaner casts. This design works equally well with monofilament and braid.
The Varispeed II system improves line lay, reducing the risk of backlashes and line overlap, for more reliable use session after session.
A reliable design for freshwater fishing
With its simple and robust mechanics, the Sahara RD is aimed at anglers looking for a durable and uncomplicated reel. It covers a wide range of uses thanks to its different sizes, from 1000 to 4000, and a fast version available for more dynamic approaches.
Versatile and reassuring, it is an excellent choice to accompany many freshwater techniques.
