The Saikou DSC A9 is a three-piece surfcasting rod developed to deliver power, precision and sensitivity. Its mid progressive action allows the rod to be loaded effectively during the cast and to propel heavy rigs over long distances.

This design makes it particularly suitable for shore fishing requiring both casting distance and precise bite detection.

Lightweight and responsive high-modulus carbon blank

The SlimS carbon super light high modulus blank provides an excellent compromise between lightness, stiffness and power. This construction produces a responsive rod capable of efficiently transferring energy during the cast.

It is optimised for the use of sinkers in an ideal range of 100 to 150 g while being able to handle heavier rigs if necessary.

Extended hybrid tip for optimal bite detection

This DSC version benefits from an extended hybrid tip that further improves sensitivity and bite reading. The combination of a solid carbon tip and a tubular structure allows the finest takes to be detected while maintaining good casting capability.

The tip is also fitted with a reflective marking, very useful for night fishing. When illuminated by a headlamp, it becomes perfectly visible and makes bite detection easier.

Reliable and high-performing Fuji equipment

The Saikou DSC A9 is fitted with robust and high-performing Fuji KW guides, designed to optimise line flow and limit tangles during casting.

The Fuji DPS reel seat provides solid hold of the reel and excellent ergonomics. The set is completed by a padded transport bag to protect the rod during travel.
