Shimano Ultegra XTD, performance for long-distance casting
The Shimano Ultegra XTD has established itself as a benchmark among Big Pit reels thanks to its excellent balance of lightness, power, and casting performance. Primarily designed for carp fishing, it also suits surfcasting anglers looking for a reliable and high-performing reel.
Its understated design combined with the latest-generation mechanics delivers particularly smooth operation and excellent longevity, even under intensive use.
High-performance Shimano mechanics
The Ultegra XTD is equipped with HAGANE Gear technology, guaranteeing durable power transmission and smooth rotation. X-Ship technology optimizes gear alignment to minimize power loss and improve retrieve comfort, even under heavy load.
This design ensures consistent performance throughout the seasons.
Always longer casts
The large aluminum AR-C spool, combined with the Super Slow Oscillation system, ensures extremely even line lay. This combination reduces friction during line release and promotes longer and more precise casts.
The included line clips allow the spool to be easily adapted to different line diameters without wasting nylon.
A fast and precise drag
The Instant Drag system allows switching in a fraction of a turn from a fully free drag to a perfectly set fighting drag. This speed of adjustment provides a real advantage during powerful runs and fights with large fish.
A reliable reel for long sessions
Thanks to its robust frame, smooth retrieve, and quality components, the Shimano Ultegra XTD is designed to meet the demands of long fishing sessions. Its large line capacity and proven mechanics make it an ideal partner for ultra-long-distance fishing.
