The Tenryu Power Master Sand Walker PMS1052S-M is designed as a truly versatile rod for large shore fishing areas. It offers an excellent compromise between maneuverability, casting distance and power, making it a particularly relevant choice for anglers who regularly surf fish.
It can be used with the majority of lures employed in these conditions, from plugs to jig heads and metal jigs.
A wide lure versatility
Its blank is particularly comfortable with plugs and jigs in the 20 to 35 g range. Its extended lure weight range nonetheless allows it to go down to plugs of around 10 g and use metal jigs up to 50 g.
This versatility makes it easy to adapt to the conditions encountered during a single session — change in depth, shifting wind, stronger current or the need to reach a more distant area of activity.
Designed for extended prospecting
One of the strengths of the PMS1052S-M lies in its balance. Tenryu has worked on the mass distribution to achieve a rod that is comfortable when repeated casting and covering large stretches of coastline is required.
It is perfectly suited to a mobile power fishing and prospecting approach, particularly when fish are scattered and it becomes necessary to actively search for productive areas.
A progressive action with a solid power reserve
The high-elasticity blank promotes lure exit speed and casting performance. It nevertheless retains appreciable flexibility during fights, particularly in the waves and close to the shore.
The lower section benefits from C.N.T, Carbon Nano Tube technology, which reinforces the power reserve and the blank's ability to withstand heavy stress. This construction allows for a light feel in hand while providing enough backbone when a powerful fish pushes against the current.
A finish suited to the demands of the sea shore
The PMS1052S-M features K guides with stainless steel frames and SiC-S rings, as well as a DPS reel seat. Tenryu completes this setup with a Nishijin carbon wrap, which adds a distinctive finish while contributing to the pursuit of lightness and balance.
