The Super Giant X Layer by Megabass: an iconic lure for freshwater and saltwater fishing alike.
The Super Giant X Layer by Megabass is the large-size version of the Super X Layer. This XL version is perfect for targeting the biggest fish or for matching the size of the prey. It is an atypical soft lure due to its lack of a tail or appendages. It is a lure that is perfectly suited to vertical fishing, as well as darter fishing. Its attractant and rattle really make the difference on certain days.
The Super Giant X Layer is ideal for Texas rigs (Xorus Texas Eel in 5/0) or on a jig head (Xorus Eel Evo size 4/0 or Decoy SV 67 size 4/0 to 7/0) for darter fishing.
If you want your lure to glide more, mount it "upside down" with the flat side facing down. This will give your lure more lift. It is also very interesting for darter or fly-fishing style presentations so that the lure "slides" further to each side.
As for colour, the starting point is the water clarity. The clearer it is, the more natural colours you should use; the more opaque it is, the more flashy or dark shades you should use, going all the way to black. This is a base to adjust depending on the day.
Choose a transparent colour for sunny days, an opaque version when light fades at the beginning and end of the day.
