Description
The Tenryu Spike SKX 782 XX spinning rod was developed to meet the expectations of experts fishing for large tuna with lures. Designed to target large specimens, it is perfectly suited for use with PE 10 or 12 braided lines. Its regular fast action allows lures weighing 100 to 230 g to be cast over good distances and reveals an ideal compromise between power and smoothness during fights. Equipped with a large power reserve thanks to the inclusion of nano
- carbon (CNT technology) in its "lower" section, this rod allows the angler to assert authority during critical phases of the fight. The Spike SKX 782 XX is fully equipped with Fuji Sic rings from the Ocean Guide series (K series) in size 16 on the tip and size 40 for the butt guide. The first 5 guides feature triple wrapping, allowing them to withstand the stress imposed by big fish fights. The long butt and grip are complemented by a foregrip section at the start of the blank, giving the angler a high and secure hold on the rod. When fighting large specimens, this very high rod position makes it easier at certain moments during the fight to adjust the rod/line angle and thus maintain control of the fight. The butt cap is removable and accommodates a GC22 Gimbal, allowing this rod to be used with a fighting harness.
- The Spike SKX 782 S XX is rated for a maximum drag of 20 kg at a 60° angle.
- Fiber composition used in the blank: 71% carbon
- 29% fiberglass
