Shimano Zodias rod, JDM precision and sensitivity

Originally developed in Japan for bass fishing, the Shimano Zodias benefits from a design specifically engineered to meet the demands of modern predator fishing. Its balance, lightness and resonance allow excellent lure control to be maintained throughout the retrieve.

Hi-Power X blank for greater control

Shimano Hi-Power X technology limits unwanted blank twist under load. This construction directly improves the rod's stability during casting and helps gain precision, control and power transmission.

The blank's behaviour also provides excellent control during retrieves and hook sets. The Zodias thus retains the reactivity required for technical fishing while offering a power reserve suited to the fight.

Carbon Monocoque, excellent vibration transmission

The Carbon Monocoque rear grip uses a hollow carbon structure designed to effectively transmit vibrations to the angler's hand. This design also contributes to the overall weight reduction and balance of the rod.

Combined with the lightweight CI4+ reel seat, it provides a particularly direct contact with the blank. Information from the lure, the bottom or subtle bites is thus more easily perceived — a valuable advantage for fishing where sensitivity plays a decisive role.

Components suited to modern lure fishing

The Zodias are fitted with Fuji Alconite guides whose layout contributes to the overall balance and ensures smooth line flow. They are perfectly suited to the use of fine braids commonly employed in modern predator fishing techniques.
