Description

The Spro BBZ 6'' Slow Sinking

The BBZ 6'' Slow Sinking from Spro, an iconic jointed swimbait that you simply cast and retrieve for the magic to happen! This lure is made in three parts, including the tail, which is made from soft plastic. Slightly denser than water, it sinks at a rate of 1 metre per second. You can make it sink faster by adding additional weights at the belly eyelet.

Tips from our team of enthusiasts

Animation

On a straight retrieve, cast and reel in slowly and the lure will produce a beautiful S-shaped swimming action with a slight rolling motion. Do not hesitate to vary retrieve speeds and add small twitches.

On a clear bottom, do not hesitate to let it settle on the bottom and wait a few seconds before reeling in again. Some days pike like to pick up their prey from the bottom.

Color

Our team's choice

  • For clear water: Sexy Lavender
  • For murky water: Wicked Perch

As for color, as a general rule, the starting point should be the medium. The clearer it is, the more natural tones you should use; the more opaque it is, the more flashy or dark shades — even black — you should go for. This is a base that will need to be adjusted depending on the day.

If you have any questions about choosing a rod, the rigs suited to your fishing area, or the type of line (monofilament, braid, fluorocarbon) to use on your reel, do not hesitate to contact us through our website, by phone or by visiting our Ardent Pêche store directly.
