The Lew's Custom Lite reels stand out for their featherweight (139g) and their Tanso Tech™ one-piece frame, offering optimal rigidity. The 30mm anodized Duralumin spool ensures smooth retrieval (70cm per turn), while the QuietCast® centrifugal brake system with 6 pins and 27 positions allows for precise casts. The internal mechanism integrates 11 stainless steel bearings and the P2 Super Pinion® gear for smooth and durable rotation. These reels will excel with light lures such as micro-crankbaits, small jerkbaits or soft lures. Their design makes them suited for freshwater fishing targeting perch, bass and trout, particularly in street fishing or float tube.

Which casting reel to choose?

Rod balance

Choose a reel suited to your rod, meaning a reel that will balance the rod, but also allow you to cast the lures intended for the rod's power rating.

The bearings

For a casting reel, the crucial point is the spool's rotation capacity. The smoother the rotation and the lower the resistance to rotation, the further you will be able to cast and with lighter lure weights. It is therefore important to look closely at the number and quality of the bearings in the reel.

The ratio

Another important point is the retrieve ratio. A standard ratio is 75-80cm of retrieve per handle turn. You will therefore need to choose the ratio of your reel based on the fishing techniques you wish to use.
