The Shimano Zodias 2026 Casting is a technical rod developed to meet the demands of modern predator anglers. Born from Shimano's JDM world and originally conceived for bass fishing, it finds its place perfectly in European waters for targeting perch, zander and bass.

Its reactive blank, balance and component quality offer an excellent level of control, both during casting and lure animation. The range covers different approaches, from Bait Finesse fishing to techniques requiring more power.

Hi-Power X blank, precision and control

Hi-Power X technology is based on blank reinforcement designed to limit twist under load. This construction produces a more stable rod during casting and retrieves.

The angler thus benefits from greater casting accuracy, increased lure control and efficient power transmission at the moment of the hook set. This design also provides the reactivity needed to quickly detect bites and follow through on technical retrieves.

Carbon Monocoque for increased sensitivity

The Zodias 2026 Casting features a Carbon Monocoque grip, designed to promote vibration transmission to the angler's hand. This construction allows you to better feel the lure's behaviour, changes in bottom composition and the most subtle bites.

It is paired with a CI4+ reel seat, a lightweight and rigid material developed by Shimano. The combination provides an excellent connection between the blank, the reel and the hand, particularly valuable for techniques requiring permanent contact with the lure.

Fuji Alconite guides for intensive use

Fuji Alconite guides ensure smooth line flow while maintaining an excellent balance between durability and lightness. They are particularly suited to the use of modern braids and contribute to the rod's casting performance.

The guide layout also helps preserve the overall balance of the blank, an important point for maintaining precision and comfort during long sessions.

A range adapted from Bait Finesse to power fishing

The Shimano Zodias 2026 Casting is available in several power ratings, allowing the rod to be precisely matched to the techniques practised. The lightest model is particularly well suited to the Bait Finesse System, for propelling and working small lures with a casting setup.

The intermediate models offer greater versatility for soft lures, jigs, Texas rigs and other techniques targeting perch, zander or bass. The more powerful versions allow larger lures to be used and provide a greater power reserve during the fight.
